At Cardiff RSL Club, we take pride in providing a warm and compassionate atmosphere to help you and your loved ones navigate through this challenging period. Our dedicated team is committed to assisting you in creating a fitting and respectful final send-off for your loved one, ensuring that the event reflects their unique life and legacy.
Our versatile and complimentary function spaces offer a comfortable and serene setting for gatherings of all sizes. Whether you are planning an intimate family gathering or a larger memorial service, our experienced staff will work closely with you to tailor the arrangements to your specific needs and preferences.
Our Large Function Room comfortably seats 90 guests, while our Small Function Room seats up to 50 guests. Also available for larger functions we can create one large function room to cater for 160 guests sit down or 160 theatre style. Our Function Rooms have a fully serviced bar just outside the rooms, stocking a wine list consisting of wines from various regions and varieties, beer on tap, pre-mixed drinks and your favourite house spirits. Cardiff RSL also has a variety of craft beers, cocktail list and spirits to cater for you.
Cardiff RSL car park holds 190 car spaces with ample off-street parking available on Macquarie and Lachlan Roads, Cardiff. SPECIAL FEATURES Our quiet and convenient location has wheelchair access, has vehicular access to the function rooms and is close to accommodation and regional shopping centres.
We are located opposite Cardiff Toyota on the corner of Munibung Road, Cardiff in the northern area of Lake Macquarie. It is approximately 10 minutes from the Newcastle-Sydney freeway and central to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the Central Coast and surrounding areas. Cardiff RSL is conveniently located near Cardiff Rail Station and has regular bus services nearby.

FUNCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Function Booking Conditions
Due to the Liquor Licensing Requirements for Clubs N.S.W: We do not hold 18th birthday parties in any of the Function Rooms.
• No alcohol or food can be brought onto Cardiff RSL club premises, under food safety standards and legislation (with the exception of a celebration cake) nor can any food be taken from Cardiff RSL function rooms at any time.
• All items must be removed from the function room at conclusion of your function.
Room Hire Confirmation
• Bookings are to be confirmed when the Terms and Conditions are signed.
Payment of Catering
• All Catering including the Smorgasbord “All you can eat options”, must be finalised and paid in full, at time of booking or on the day
• There is No refund for catering.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
Cardiff RSL supports the provision of responsible service of alcohol. Staff will not serve any person under the age of 18 years, nor will they serve any person to a level of intoxication. Cardiff RSL strives for the highest standards of Responsible Service of Alcohol, ensuring patron’s welfare and safety.
Property Damage
Cardiff RSL will take necessary care, but does not take financial responsibility for damage or loss of merchandise during your function. Clients are financially responsible for any damages sustained to Cardiff RSL property or equipment hired on behalf of the client during the event. The use of candles or open flames in function rooms is forbidden.
Membership
Membership of Cardiff RSL Club is essential for all function bookings.
Due to Government regulations, all guests entering the club (be it for a function or to utilise the club’s
facilities) must fall into one of the following categories: – Current financial member (membership card
shown) – Temporary member (those who sign-in with a valid form of I.D.) – Guest of a member (a guest
who is not a member of Cardiff RSL club but can be signed in by a financial member) All temporary
members and guests of a member over the age of 18 years of age are legally required to sign in at
reception.
Identification Requirements
It is a requirement for all patrons entering Cardiff RSL to have valid Identification. The only acceptable forms of evidence of age in NSW currently are:
• Drivers or riders license (issued in Australia or another country)
• NSW photo card (issued by NSW Roads and Maritime Services)
• Passport (issued by Australia or another country)
• Proof of age card (issued in an Australian state or territory except NSW)
• Key pass (over-18) identity card (issued by Australia Post) Failure to produce an acceptable form of identification will result in a request to leave Cardiff RSL premises.
