COVID-19 Update

COVID UPDATE:

1/1/2021

The safety and wellbeing of Cardiff RSL members, guests and employees is of paramount importance and remains our top priority.

As of the 1st January 2021, it will be mandatory for hospitality venues in NSW to use the NSW government’s Service NSW COVID safe Check-in QR code to electronically register customer contact details. Download the App to save yourself time at entry to the club.

To keep everyone safe we also need your help – so please everyone practice the same hygiene measures as us & stay away if you are unwell.

We thank you all for your cooperation and understanding and wish you a Happy New Year.

To ensure the safety of our members, guests and staff we have adopted the following measures:

  • Limited venue capacity
  • New social distancing practices
  • Increased hand sanitising stations throughout the venue
  • New sign-in procedures for members and visitors
  • Encourage the use of contactless payments
  • Increased frequency of cleaning during and after opening hours
  • CovidSAFE Marshall monitoring the Club and its patrons
  • CovidSAFE plan registered with NSW health
  • Discourage commingling and contact with others
  • Preventing people from entering if they are displaying cold and flu symptoms.

The Club will continue to monitor the advice of ClubsNSW and implement advice accordingly.

We thank you all for your cooperation and understanding.

2019 Club & Community Award Winner

Cardiff RSL has won 2019’s Club & Community Award for Disability, Welfare & Social Inclusion. These Club & Community awards were created to recognise the outstanding social contributions made by clubs in their local communities.

Our theme for this Disability, Welfare & Social Inclusion award was ‘AUSLAN: Bringing two worlds together’. Cardiff RSL staff began AUSLAN training back in 2018 with the Deaf Society. These classes were over a  two hour period with no conversation so that our staff could truly enter and understand the world of the deaf and hearing impaired. As part of our commitment and to show our community we were sincere in providing a safe, friendly and inclusive environment we appointed a Deaf Awareness Ambassador. For hearing members and guests to see staff sign with other patrons helps create awareness, reminds us all to have empathy and compassion but also allows families and friends to come out together as we have trained staff to be able to communicate with the whole group.

Cardiff RSL has also had menus printed in Braille to support deaf and hearing impaired members and guests. AUSLAN training was not just about learning sign language it is also about the holistic approach to individual personal and professional growth and in turn support society’s and the club’s values.
